The 68th Annual Golden Globes awards last night in Beverly Hills, California, American cinema. The best film of the year is “The Social Network” by David Fincher on the creation of social networking site Facebook.

Unsurprisingly, it is Colin Firth who won the Golden Globe for best actor for his portrayal of King George VI in “The Speech of a King”. Next Best Actor Natalie Portman, is awarded the Golden Globe for best actress for “Black Swan”.

Little surprise, the American actor Paul Giamatti won the trophy for best actor for his role in a comedy “Barney’s Version.” The favorite was Johnny Depp, twice cited.
